Just didn’t fall for us today………

Today’s squad Frankie, Polly, James, Edonis, Hyde, Tommy, Saul, Connor, Arlind, Sam, Harry, Morris, Jed and Jack

Boys please try to get to games at least 30 min before the match if not more. It effects the warm up and focus !!!

Match started pretty evenly and to be honest it stayed that way for most of the game. First chance broke to them as we failed to go with the runner and Frankie made a great one on one stop. Chances were few and far for both teams. Both teams looked dangerous from corners but we didn’t get many breaks of half chances. Arlind did find some space down the left on a couple occasions but we just could fashion a decent chance. HT 0:0

Second much of the same lots of end to end action nut again we failed to create. A free kick outside the box and Frankie tipped it well on to the cross bar and over for a corner.

With ten mins gone they took the lead a misplaced bass in defence and the ball broke to the forward who scored from twelve yards in the bottom corner 1.0

Heads dropped and soon they had a second. A man unmarked from a corner free header on six yard box. 2.0

This time you shook your selves up and got back into the game, With 25 minutes gone we broke down the left good work between Arlind and Connor meant that Arlind won a free kick just outside the box. Harry whipped the ball in at pace and it ping around the box and into the goal 2.1

You kept pushing for the equalizer but again it didn’t seem to drop. The next chance came to Omonia and againa free kick just outside and this time they hit the crossbar.

In the last minute Morris managed to control the ball fantastically and turned and shot first time wide, he was unlucky as he didn’t realise that he had lost his defender and had so much time . That was the last real chance 2.1

I fully expect us to beat them at home , we just need to play like we did last week, a bit more pace quicker passing and retain possession.

MoTM : This week it went to James, he won countless challenges in the air and always looked composed when he took the ball from defence. Had a short spell in centre midfield to allow Nick to rest players. He also marshaled the defense well and encouraged everyone.

Fantastic second half performance

Today’s squad Frankie , Jack, James, Edonis, Hyde, Harry, Saul, Connor, Jed, Gabe, Morris , Sam, Tommy and Daniel

First half started with us under pressure quick balls wide were pushing us deep into our own half. There first shot went just wide.

After ten minutes the goal the threatened to score finally came a ball over the top and was finished well 1.0

However literally a minute later and it was all even, Morris held the ball upfront and poked it forward to Gabe who ran on and slotted the ball home 1.1

Next big chance went to AP who broke down the middle and unleashed a shot which Frankie tipped on to the cross bar.

Another chance came there way but Frankie was up to the challenge diving full length to his left and actually pushing it out for a throw on .

Ten minutes to go an AP won a free kick on our right. A cross / shot found the bottom left corner 2.1

Heads did not drop and straight away we were on attack first Morris hooked a shot back towards goal which the keeper made a fantastic save in the top left corner. From the resulting corner Morris managed to get his head on the delivery and it rattled the bar. HT 2.1

Second half started and I felt straight away you took control of the game. We started to dominate in the middle and create chances Five minutes later Morris got the goal he deserved and scored after good work from Sam down the right. 2.2

With Sam and Tommy causing problems down the flanks we seemed to create a few half chances, but the ball would not drop to us . However against the run of play we were to go behind again, a bit of slack passing and the ball fell to there forward who had a clear run on goal and put it past Frankie as he came out 3.2

Again you picked your selves up and went on the attack.

With twenty minutes to go the ball is on our left and it was played back to Edonis in his own half, he looked up and spotted the keeper off his line and “Beckhamesqu” he launched it towards the goal it sailed over the keeper and initially I thought over the bar but no it dropped just under the bar or did he just smash a clearance either way 3.3

From he on we took control and I always felt the more likely to score .

Harry soon got a chance to put us ahead from a break away corner, he shot early as the keeper rushed out only to roll the wrong side of the post.

Gabe broke down the left and cut in past the defender to bare down on goal. The keeper came out well and block it for a corner.

From the corner as the ball was cleared it fell to Connor who’s shot was going bottom corner only for a defender to get a last second block.

Saul had the ball in the net but it was ruled out for offside in the build up after good interplay between him and Gabe.

Finally the goal came Jed won the ball back down our right . He drove into the box and poked it towards goal as the keeper came out. Gabe followed in , just in case but said the ball was over the line before he got a touch. 3:4

Harry and Gabe were both unlucky not to add to the goals in the last five minute FT 3:4

MoTM : The second was a great performance by all of you , however today it went Edonis for not only having a great game in the centre of defence and scoring an unbelievable goal….. well done

Controlled the game , but we made it tighter than it should of been…..

We started the game really well Jed caused instant pressure on the defence and won a corner. Harry’ corner was delivered into the six yard box and some how the ball did not go in even though we had like four attempts

With five minutes gone they broke down the right and the ball was deflected for corner. The ball came in and hit Frankie in the chest bounced out and was hit back into the goal 1.0

Heads didn’t drop and we were soon pressing for the equaliser Jed ran down the middle and in my view was taken out. … not given unfortunately he got injured and came off for the rest of the half.

Chances will still coming and Gabe was unlucky with a shot from range as soon as he came on .

After 25 mins we won a cOrner Harry delivered and Max rose highest in the box to head home 1.1

From here I felt we were in control of the game Edonis and Morris started to dominate in the centre of defence and Saul began to win the ball in the middle allowing Connor and Max to get the ball forward to the attacking 3.

With twenty mins gone we got another injury with Lotjan turning his ankle blocking a shot on goal. he was out for the rest of the game.

The last twenty we were pushing to take the lead but could not get the final ball right HT 1.1

Second half you started where you left off from the first with Jed creating early chances only to hit it wide.

Sam was causing problems down the left. He picked the ball up and ran into the box. the full back lunged into the tackle and a definite penalty . Morris placed it on the spot and smashed it past the keepers left 1:2

Sam though hurt his hand and could not play much more of the second half.

The next 25 minutes I felt we could of scored on nearly every attack. We were finding so much room in the middle that Harry and Connor started to dictate the Game.

Chances came often Daniel hit a great shot that the keeper saved well. Jed and Harry created loads of half chances and the ball would just not fall right for us.

Gabe created a couple of chances both very similar good run down the right and cut back to Saul and Connor both chances just didn’t fall for us and went wide.

Would we pay for these ?? Nearly did !!! They broke down our right the striker hit a shot across and Frankie dived to his left and got a firm hand to push it out with Ollie to clear.

Another chance for us as Saul and Jed broke quickly from a corner with some great football and I felt Saul was bound to score only to pull it wide.

Connor hit a shot soon after that just went over the top right corner.

Edonis also hit a shot that just dipped late but went over the bar

Last ten minute and it gets a little nervy. We should of been at least 4 up and now they got a few chances first Tommy cleared a weak shot off The line and then a few minutes later they hit the post the ball bounces out they shoot again this time Ollie makes a fabulous headed clearance off the line.

Still we had chances to put the game to bed but didn’t take them. Last minute they win a corner everyone went up including the keeper , however no panic as the corner hit the side netting and FT 1:2

MoTM some really good performance today Arlind had a good game working hard in the middle of the pitch when required, Edonis and Morris worked well in the centre to keep chances down, today though Connor won MoTM worked hard in midfield he cleared a certain goal in the first half , closed down and harried the opposition , but mainly it was the space he created in midfield to transition into attack quickly keeping us pushing forward to create chances . Well done

Training is on Wednesday . I think Nick is looking to meet At 8pm so keep a eye out

Well done all that was a deserved and really good win . Although we should of killed the game off much earlier
